The Annual Quiz and Spelling Bee Competition 5.0, tagged “Remo Ultimate Intellectual Showdown,” was held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at the SLGEA NUT COOP Hall, Makun. From the very start, the hall was filled with joy, energy, and pride as Friends of Ronzls Foundation hosted the grand finale.
To begin with, bright pupils from across the Remo area came together to take part in a challenging yet enjoyable contest. Throughout the event, they demonstrated their knowledge, focus, and mental agility.
Meanwhile, winners from the preliminary rounds held across six zones advanced to the final stage. Consequently, top pupils from many primary schools competed while being cheered on by their schools, teachers, parents, and guardians. In addition, their support created a warm and lively atmosphere that celebrated learning and hard work.
Finally, the event highlighted the Foundation’s strong commitment to growing young minds. Moreover, it reinforced the values of fair play, discipline, and confidence in children across the region. All in all, it was a day of knowledge, celebration, and inspiration for everyone involved.




A Grand Opening with Distinguished Guests
The day opened with a warm welcome by Chief Mrs Ola Sulaimon, Founder of Friends of Ronzls Foundation. She thanked the dignitaries, special guests, headteachers, teachers, parents, and guardians in attendance. Most of all, she praised the bright pupils who earned their place in the finale. Her speech set the tone for the day—a true celebration of learning, excellence, and the future of our children.
Mrs Ola Sulaimon, in her speech, encouraged the children to stay committed to their studies, reminding them that education is key to a great and successful future.


The event was further elevated by the royal presence of HRH Alayeluwa Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Osiderumu I, the Radanuwa of Idado, Sagamu and the Royal Father, Friends of Ronzls Foundation. His Royal Highness not only graced the occasion with his presence but also delivered an inspiring address. He commended the young contestants for their hard work and dedication and urged them to continue prioritising their education, as it remains the key to a successful and impactful future.

Another highlight was the Keynote Speech delivered by Mrs. Kehinde Olasunkanmi Anifowose, Director of the School of Services at the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board. She spoke passionately about the importance of foundational education, encouraging the learners to remain curious, diligent, and disciplined in their academic pursuits.

The Grand Competition Unfolds
The competition was an exciting show of knowledge and confidence. It featured two main parts:

The Quiz Segment, which tested the pupils in Mathematics, English Language, Science, General Knowledge, and ICT.

The Spelling Bee, which tested their vocabulary and ability to spell difficult words under pressure

Each of these young champions exhibited poise and intelligence throughout the competition, drawing rounds of applause from the captivated audience.



Recognition and Rewards
To honour every student’s hard work, prizes were presented to all participants from the preliminary rounds, ensuring that every child left the event feeling celebrated. Special recognition and prizes were also given to learners who achieved perfect scores in the preliminaries’ Spelling Bee segment.




As the grand finale came to a close, the moment everyone was waiting for arrived: the announcement of the top three winners.

From the twelfth to the twelfth position, each finalist received a prize as a testament to their remarkable journey through the competition.






Encouragement for the Future
In her closing remarks, the Education Secretary of Sagamu spoke to the learners about the power of education. She further explained how learning shapes their future. In addition, she urged them to stay focused and disciplined. Above all, she encouraged them to keep striving for excellence, both in their studies and in life.
