On Saturday, May 31st 2025, Ayinde’s Foodbank and Open Kitchen proudly held 2025 second edition of its quarterly food bank outreach program in Ilorin, Kwara State. The event was a remarkable success, reaching 150 families with essential food support, and further reinforcing our commitment to fighting food insecurity in underserved communities.
Each family received a carefully packed food bag containing staple items including rice, garri, spaghetti, and noodles. The distribution process was smooth and well-coordinated, ensuring that every beneficiary collected their package with ease and dignity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated Ayinde’s Foodbank and Open Kitchen team in Ilorin, as well as our incredible partners from the Friends of Ronzls Foundation in Sagamu, Ogun State. Their collaboration and tireless efforts were key to ensuring a seamless and impactful distribution process.
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with warmth and community spirit. Local entertainers, including musicians, a traditional chanter, and a young comedian, took the stage to celebrate and express gratitude to our founder, Ola Sulaimon, for her unwavering generosity. Their performances brought smiles and laughter, further enriching the day’s activities.
During the event, our founder, Ola Sulaimon, addressed the gathered families with a heartfelt message. She reminded everyone of the power of sharing, encouraging them to look out for their neighbors and offer help, no matter how small. “Even the smallest act of kindness can make a significant impact in someone’s life,” she said, inspiring all present to carry forward the spirit of generosity.
As we reflect on the success of this second edition, we remain deeply committed to expanding our reach and continuing this vital work. We look forward to future editions and to creating even more meaningful change in communities across Nigeria.
