Ayinde’s Foodbank and Open Kitchen Brings Relief to 150 Families in Ilorin – 2025 Second Edition

Ayinde’s Foodbank and Open Kitchen, an initiative under Friends of Ronzls Foundation that tackles food insecurity for children and families, proudly held the second edition of its 2025 quarterly food bank outreach program in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday, May 31st, 2025. The event was a remarkable success, reaching 150 families with essential food support and further reinforcing our commitment to fighting food insecurity in underserved communities.

Each family received a carefully packed food bag containing staple items such as rice, garri, spaghetti, and noodles. The distribution process was smooth and well-organised, ensuring that every beneficiary received their package with ease and dignity.

The founder of the Friends of Ronzls Foundation, Mrs Ola Sulaimon, extends our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated Ayinde’s Foodbank and Open Kitchen team in Ilorin. Tireless efforts were key to ensuring a seamless and impactful distribution process.

The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with warmth and community spirit. Local entertainers, including musicians, a traditional chanter, and a young comedian, took the stage to celebrate and express gratitude to our founder, Ola Sulaimon, for her unwavering generosity. Their performances brought smiles and laughter, further enriching the day’s activities.

During the event, our founder, Mrs Ola Sulaimon, spoke to the families with a warm message. She told everyone about the power of sharing and urged them to care for their neighbours and help in any way they can. As she said, “Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life,” inspiring everyone to keep the spirit of giving alive.

Looking back at the success of this second edition, we stay committed to reaching more people and doing this important work. Also, we look forward to future events and making even more positive change in communities across Nigeria.

From now on, the Foundation will work harder to support families in both Sagamu and Ilorin, making sure more people benefit from these programs
