On Wednesday, 16th October 2024, the Soles for Little Souls School Sandals Distribution Project by the Friends of Ronzls Foundation reached a memorable milestone. Our esteemed royal father, Alayeluwa Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Osiderumu I, Radanuwa of Idado, honored us by personally joining the team at Wesley Primary School, Soyindo, to distribute and fit free sandals on the pupils.
A Symbol of Love and Compassion
The presence of His Majesty brought warmth and joy to the occasion, making it a day the pupils will never forget. As he sat down to help the children wear their new sandals, Oba Soile demonstrated not only leadership but also compassion and humility. His involvement exemplified the core values of the Soles for Little Souls project: giving, love, and dignity.
The children’s faces lit up with excitement and gratitude as they wore their sandals with pride. For many, it wasn’t just about receiving new footwear—it was about being seen, valued, and cared for by a leader they deeply respect.
A Shared Mission: Restoring Dignity One Step at a Time
The Soles for Little Souls project aims to provide school sandals to children who attend school with worn-out footwear, non-compliant shoes, or none at all due to financial constraints. This year, we committed to distributing over 3,200 pairs across several beneficiary schools. The process was hands-on and thoughtful, ensuring every child received the right fit.
Having Alayeluwa Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile actively participate in this process was a testament to his dedication to the well-being of the community. His involvement reflected our shared mission of not just providing sandals but offering hope, comfort, and confidence to every child.
A Day to Remember
The experience at Wesley Primary School, Soyindo, will remain a cherished memory for both the children and the Friends of Ronzls Foundation team. Seeing His Majesty join in the task of fitting sandals to each child emphasized the importance of leadership that is both present and empathetic. His presence amplified the impact of the project and demonstrated that every act of kindness, no matter how small, matters.
Gratitude and Looking Forward
We are immensely grateful to Alayeluwa Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Osiderumu I, for his time, kindness, and support during this year’s distribution. His participation added profound meaning to the project and showed that leadership is most impactful when it is rooted in service to others.
As we move forward, we remain committed to reaching more children and making a difference—one pair of sandals at a time. With partners like Oba Soile, we are confident that we can continue spreading love, dignity, and hope through the Soles for Little Souls project.
