The Friends of Ronzls Foundation hosted its highly anticipated annual end-of-year children’s party on Thursday, December 11, at the historic Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu, bringing together 930 children from 74 primary schools across Remoland. The colourful celebration reflected the foundation’s deep commitment to child development, education, and community empowerment.

The event commenced promptly at 11:15 a.m. and was filled with joy, excitement, and heartfelt moments as children, teachers, dignitaries, and community stakeholders gathered to celebrate a year of learning and impact.

2025 Impact Highlights by Friends of Ronzls Foundation

In her welcome address, Mrs Ola Sulaiman, Founder of Friends of Ronzls Foundation, outlined the foundation’s extensive achievements throughout 2025, with a strong focus on education, health, and food security.

Key milestones included:

  • Free medical outreaches benefiting over 800 individuals across Sagamu and Ilorin

  • Reading sensitisation visits to 60 primary schools nationwide

  • Quarterly food bank initiatives distributing over 620 food bags

  • Ramadan feeding programs serving 300+ individuals daily

  • School uniform mending projects in 15 schools

  • Quiz and spelling bee competitions across 70 schools, including Ilorin

  • Donation of 3,800+ school sandals to children

  • Distribution of 6,000 sanitary pads to support girls’ education

  • Holiday coaching programs benefiting 300+ children

  • Hosting of the Sagamu Kids Festival, reaching over 1,500 children

Royal Presence and Distinguished Support at the annual end-of-year children’s party

The occasion was honoured by the presence of the foundation’s royal patron, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, who served as the Royal Father of the Day. In his address, His Majesty reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that promote children’s welfare and sustainable community development.

The host of the event, His Royal Highness Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, the Radanuwa of Idado, Sagamu, also lent his royal support, emphasising the importance of investing in education and youth-focused programs.

Opening Ceremony and Participation at the annual end-of-year children’s party

The event officially opened with a warm welcome by the Team leader, Mr. Babatunde Osidele, who acknowledged participating schools, teachers, charity organisations, and guests. An opening prayer was led by Rev. Emmanuel Adedawa, setting a reflective and celebratory tone for the day.

Schools in attendance included Local Primary School Sagamu, Wesley Primary School Sotunbo, St. Paul’s School 2 Ijokun, AUD Primary School Ikenne, African Church Primary School Apelogun, and many others drawn from Sagamu, Ikenne, Remo North, and surrounding communities. Charity organisations such as Saint Pius Charity Home and Soile Foundation were also represented.

As the year draws to a close, the Friends of Ronzls Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to nurture young minds, promote access to education, and support vulnerable families. The foundation looks forward to expanding its programs and deepening its impact across Remoland and beyond.
