Yesterday, December 12, 2024, the Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile Friends of Ronzls hosted the second edition of its highly anticipated Annual End-of-Year Children’s Party. Held in Akarigbo Palace Hall, Akarigbo Palace, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, Ogun State. This vibrant event brought together representatives from 40 primary schools across Sagamu, Ogun State, alongside an impressive gathering of dignitaries, community leaders, and school headteachers. The atmosphere was one of celebration, joy, and a shared commitment to fostering education and growth among young learners.
The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Akarigbo of Remoland; Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Radanuwa of Idado; Oba Mukaila Akanji Olabinjo, Eleposo of Eposo; Oba Lukman Oluwadamilare Adebambo Salami, Ebi of Idena; Oba Sule, Onigode of Igode; and Oba Ogunsola, Ayanperuwa of Sotubo. Other attendees included the DPO of Sakura Police Station, members of Idado in council, Oloris, Chiefs, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Sagamu Chapter), the Sagamu Youth Association led by Comrade Olugbenga Lawal, the Idado Youth Association, the Association of Primary School Head Teachers, CAN, and Reverend leaders. Officers from the Federal Road Safety Corps, parents of Chief Mrs. Sulaimon, and other prominent figures also lent their presence and support.
The Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, in his address, delivered an inspiring message to the learners. He said, “I urge you all to remain committed to your studies, be diligent and persistent, and you will achieve greatness. Remember that education is the key to unlocking your potential, and I am confident that with hard work and determination, you will excel in all your endeavors.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping a brighter future.
Alayeluwa Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, Osiderumu I, the Radanuwa of Idado and royal father of the day, expressed his gratitude to Chief Mrs. Ola Sulaimon, the visionary founder of the Friends of Ronzls Foundation. In his welcome address, he commended her unwavering dedication to the Idado community providing free hot meals to children every Sunday at his palace, and her impactful contributions to the educational development of learners in Sagamu. “Your efforts are a beacon of hope and inspiration for our youth,” he said.
Chief Mrs. Ola Sulaimon, in her heartfelt address, reiterated her commitment to improving the educational experiences of primary school learners. She stated, “I promise to continue in the quest of making learning fun and comfortable for our children because the impact of education cannot be overemphasized.” Her passion and dedication were evident, further endearing her to the community and participants. She appreciated her team member for always making themselves available.
The program was rich with entertainment and cultural appreciation. The Friends of Ronzls Choir delivered a choral rendition that captivated the audience and earned thunderous applause. Attendees also enjoyed cultural presentations, games, and other interactive activities designed to engage and inspire the children. The day’s festivities highlighted the essence of community collaboration and the power of education in transforming lives.
