Today, Wednesday 21st May 2025, we held Day 4 of the Friends of Ronzls Foundation Annual Quiz and Spelling Bee Competition 5.0, an event that continues to ignite academic enthusiasm among pupils across the Remo region. This year’s edition is tagged “Remo Ultimate Intellectual Showdown,” and Day 4 focused on schools from the Offin zone, with Wesley School II, Oko serving as the host venue.
The competition was divided into two main sections. The first was the Quiz, a paper-and-pencil test covering key academic subjects: Mathematics, English Language, Science, General Knowledge, and ICT. This segment tested the students’ comprehension, speed, and overall knowledge across various topics. The second section was the Spelling Bee, where contestants were given words to spell aloud in front of the panel and audience. This part of the event tested their vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence.
A total of thirteen schools from the Offin zone participated in today’s event. These included: African Church Primary School, Apelogun; African Church Primary School, Ijoku; Ansar-ud-Deen Primary School, Isale Oko; Local Government Primary School I, Ijagba; Local Government Primary School II, Ijagba; St. Columcilles Catholic Nursery and Primary School, Offin; St. Paul Primary School, Ayepe Road; St. Paul School I, Ijoku; St. Paul School II, Ijoku; St. Paul School, Offin, Alagbo; Wesley Primary School, Soyindo; Wesley School I, Oko; and Wesley School II, Oko.
