School Sandals 2025: Walking Hope Into Classrooms, One Child at a Time ,Our Soles for Soles School sandal project👣✨
In 2025,for the sixth year running the Friends of Ronzls Foundation distributed 3,800 free school sandals to children across 60 primary schools in Nigeria, supporting education, dignity, and child welfare through a 7-day outreach project.

Every school day begins with a journey. For many children in underserved communities, that journey is long, tiring, and often painful — walked barefoot or in worn‑out slippers. At Friends of Ronzls Foundation, we believe that no child should have to struggle just to get an education.

That belief came to life once again through our School Sandals 2025 Project, a journey of compassion, service, and hope that touched thousands of young lives.

Why the School Sandals Project Matters for Education in Nigeria
In 2025, we set out with a bold but heartfelt goal: to distribute thousands of school sandals to children in need across 65 primary schools. What followed was seven unforgettable days filled with early mornings, long drives, dusty roads, warm welcomes, and countless smiles.

By the end of the project, 3,800 pairs of school sandals had been placed on the feet of children who needed them most.
Day 1: Launching the School Sandals Project 👟
The project officially kicked off with visits to 11 primary schools, where 435 children received new school sandals. From Oko 2 to Makun and Sabo communities, the excitement was instant. Children lined up eagerly, some shy, others bursting with joy — all grateful.
It was the perfect reminder of why this work matters.

Days 2–3: Expanding Reach Across Primary Schools 💚
Momentum grew quickly. Over the next two days, we visited 15 more schools, reaching a total of 26 schools. By this point, 1,268 children were already walking away with new sandals.

Schools across Gbara, Shimawa, Makun, Ijagba, and Ojumele welcomed us with open arms. The laughter, songs, and bright eyes of the pupils made every mile worth it.

Reaching More Communities: 36 to 47 Primary Schools
As the days progressed, the impact deepened. With continued visits to more communities, including UAMC Iraye Eleja, the total number of sandals distributed rose steadily:

- 1,947 pairs across 36 schools
- 2,597 pairs across 47 schools
Each stop told its own story — children trying on their sandals proudly, teachers offering prayers, and parents expressing heartfelt thanks.

Ilorin Outreach: First-Time School Sandals Distribution 🌍
For the very first time, the School Sandals Project reached Ilorin, where 500 children received free school sandals. The joy was overwhelming and deeply moving.
At Ikh‑Iwanu Nurudeen LGEA Primary School, another 263 pupils were reached, bringing the total to 3,097 pairs distributed across 53 schools.
This marked a powerful expansion of our mission beyond familiar grounds.
Final Days of the School Sandals Project 2025 🙏
Despite challenges like poor road conditions, the team pressed on. By Day 6, we had reached 55 schools and distributed 3,166 pairs.

The journey concluded beautifully on Day 7 at Wesley Primary School, Iperu, our 60th school. With 134 final pairs donated that day, the project closed with a total of:
3,800 pairs of school sandals shared
More Than Footwear: Supporting Child Welfare and Education
This project was never just about footwear. It was about dignity. About comfort. About telling every child, “You matter.”
We are deeply grateful to God for strength, to our incredible team for tireless dedication, and to every supporter who made this journey possible. Together, we walked into classrooms, communities, and hearts — leaving behind hope that will last far beyond 2025.
Mrs Ola Sulaimon the founder of Friends of Ronzls Foundation stated that the foundations remains committed to empowering children and supporting education, one step at a time.
👣 Because every child deserves to walk to school with confidence.
