Week Three of Our 2025 Reading Sensitization Program

This week marked the third week of our 2025 Reading Sensitization program at Friends of Ronzls Foundation. We have been actively visiting the 44 primary schools adopted by the foundation, engaging with learners to educate them on the importance of reading and how it can significantly contribute to their educational growth.

On Monday, 17th February 2025, we had the pleasure of visiting St. Paul Primary School, Aiyepe, Sagamu; African Church School, Apelogun; and St. Columcille’s Catholic Primary School, Offin. At each of these schools, we spent time reading with the learners, encouraging them to develop a love for books and highlighting the benefits of consistent reading habits.

The following day, Tuesday, 18th February 2025, our team visited Oba Adeniyi Sonariwo School, Sabo, where we continued our mission of fostering a reading culture among young learners. During these visits, we read from some of the 300 storybooks we had previously donated to these schools. We reminded the children that these books are available in their school libraries for them to borrow and read at their convenience.

Through these interactions, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for reading in these young minds. By engaging with them directly, we reinforce the message that books are a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and academic success. We are excited to continue this journey, reaching more schools and empowering more learners through the joy of reading.
